WELCOME!
Originally from Woodstock, GA, I moved to Houston, TX about 10 years ago. As a young girl I was always drawing or painting something (mostly some kind of animal). For the longest time I thought I wanted to pursue a career as a Veterinarian. That all changed when I realized I would be way too emotional for that or would end up being that person taking in every stray animal.
When I went to college I was able to explore all the different styles of art and fell in love. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and minored in Marketing. I have been working full time as a senior graphic designer in the care delivery industry.
It wasn’t until Christmas a years ago that I started to get the itch to pick up the paintbrush again. I was in need of a couple gift ideas for family members, so I chose to paint something for them. One of the paintings had their favorite animal and the other one of their dog. Afterwards, I started to get so many requests from people who saw the paintings my art wanting their own painting. I had no idea I would get so much love and support from my art. It gave me the confidence and drive I needed to realize that “I can do it all!” That’s where it all started, and it hasn’t stopped since. My story continues as I am a graphic designer by day and painter by night – wouldn’t change it for the world!
The quote I live by:
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” – Andy Warhol
